Lovely homemade food. The owner cooks in her own kitchen Indonesian / Bali food and it is delicious! The peaceful garden is a good escape from the busy streets.

It was an amazing dinner, the food was delicious and we ate it too fast forgetting to take pictures. The photo below is the banana fritter, it was delicious and well cooked, and the main dish I had was a traditional Indonesian dish which you won’t see in other restaurants-Balinese Bubur, a traditional porridge, very delicious and definitely worth trying. The staff are all nice and friendly, and the vibe is great as well, highly recommended!

Beautiful garden setting, super friendly staff… and oh my goodness , the food! So delicious! We have been back several times and it’s always fantastic: from the grilled tuna with sambal matah to the Nasi campur, the corn fritters to the satays everything is beautifully presented and incredibly tasty

If you are looking for the best Nasi Campur in Ubud, you must try By the Garden. Amazing standard of cooking made with such care and delicious fresh ingredients. Beautiful peaceful setting down a quiet alley (gang) off Jalan Bisma. Warm and friendly service with lots of special touches. Will be back soon!

Very good surprise to find such incredible food and beautiful experience in an hidden street ! We had grilled Tuna and Chicken and fried banana for dessert and it was very tasty home cooked dishes, with a beautiful presentation, in a garden very cute and intimate. Service was very good, with the cook coming to see us at the end of the meal. Overall a very good experience !! Thank you very much

Delicious food ! Traditional Balinese food, with a lot of taste. The staff is very friendly, the atmosphere is relaxing, in a beautiful garden. I highly recommend this place. Very good price for the taste.

Hidden in a quiet beautiful garden, the food was absolutely delicious, authentic and very quickly prepared. I had pork, garden salad and corn fritters. Absolutely wonderful!
